Our try ons are by appointment only, so unfortunately we can't accept walk ins.
Our boutique is located in Glendowie, Auckland. Simply search The Curvy Rental Boutique on Apple Maps or Google Maps and it'll bring you straight to us.

Live outside Auckland? 📦
If you're unable to make it to us in person or don't live in Auckland, we also offer Postal Try Ons for eligible customers. We're just putting the finishing touches on the service before officially launching it, but if you'd like to enquire in the meantime, simply get in touch and I'd be more than happy to help.

Appointment Fee 💕
Appointments are 45 minutes long and require a $20 non-refundable appointment fee.
This helps cover the time involved in preparing your appointment, maintaining the boutique, garment care, and reducing no-shows and late cancellations.
As a thank you for booking with us, $10 of your appointment fee is credited towards your rental when you make a rental booking within 72 hours (3 days) of your appointment.

Appointment Availability 📅
Try ons are currently available on Thursdays and Fridays only.
As I'm a one-woman business, appointment availability is limited. I also run my spray tanning business, The Glow Job, from the boutique into the evenings, so later appointments unfortunately aren't usually available.
If you're genuinely unable to make our usual appointment times, feel free to get in touch and I'll see what I can do depending on my other appointments and availability.
A quick note about the calendar: I manually release appointment times 1–2 weeks in advance. If there aren't any appointments showing for the entire month, it simply means I haven't released those dates yet.
If there is limited availability (or none at all) for a particular week, that means we're already fully booked for that week.

Bringing Someone With You 👯
We have two changing rooms, meaning a maximum of two customers can have appointments at the same time!
If you'd like to try on dresses with a friend, you'll each need to book your own appointment for the same time slot. Simply make separate bookings and write "Trying on with ____" in your booking notes.
You're also welcome to bring one support person (partner, friend, mum etc.) for moral support and second opinions. One extra person is perfect! Please do not bring the whole family or your entire friend group, as it can become a very overwhelming for everyone in store and takes away from my ability to properly help you and the other customers in the boutique.
If your support person decides they'd like to try on a few dresses too, I'm often more than happy to let them if the second appointment hasn't been booked. As booked customers always take priority, I can't guarantee this will always be possible, but if I can make it work, I absolutely will!

Making the Most of Your Appointment ✨
Please come with a list of dresses you'd love to try on!!!
Everything we have available to rent is already on the website, so having a browse beforehand (especially through your size category) will help you make the most of your appointment. We don't have a separate collection hidden out the back... unless I've just unpacked some newbies hehe.
While I'll always do my best, I can't guarantee every dress on your list will be available to try on, as customer rental bookings always take priority. Don't worry though, we have lots of beautiful options and there's truly something for everyone.
Your appointment runs for 45 minutes. I'll give you a little reminder as we get close to the end, but please also be mindful of the time so you can make the most of your appointment.
If your event is that weekend and you find the one, you're more than welcome to take it home with you then and there (subject to availability).

Please Arrive Try-On Ready 🤍
To help keep our garments beautiful for the next customer and avoid unnecessary cleaning, we kindly ask that you:
• Avoid wearing foundation or other face makeup where possible.
• Please don't reapply deodorant, perfume or body fragrance immediately before your appointment. We have baby wipes available (including in the bathroom), so if you need to freshen up, just ask! We'd much rather that than makeup or deodorant marks on the dresses.
• Arrive clean and hygienic. Please don't come straight from the gym, sports or after a sweaty workout. If you do, we'll kindly ask you to rebook your appointment for another time.
• Never place our garments on the floor. Please use the hooks provided or hand them to me if you're unsure.
You'll also receive a reminder email before your appointment with a few extra try-on tips and house rules.

Little Ones 🐣
Babies are absolutely welcome if they're in a pram. Just please let me know before your appointment if you'll be bringing your little one so I can make sure my dachshund, Ziggy, is out of the way before you arrive (he's absolutely terrified of babies and kids LOL).
Unfortunately, our try-on appointments aren't suitable for little ones who are walking and wanting to explore. We have lots of beautiful garments within reach, clothing racks and mirrors, so we don't want curious little hands touching the dresses or little people hurting themselves.

Meet Ziggy 🐾
My miniature dachshund, Ziggy, will usually be hanging out with me during your appointment.
He's very friendly and absolutely loves visitors, but if you'd prefer he didn't bother you (or you have allergies or are a little nervous around dogs), just let me know before your appointment and I'll happily keep him out of the way.
He may give you a little bark when you first arrive, but he's all talk and no bite. He just likes to think he's much bigger and tougher than he actually is 😂. He's just a tiny dachshund doing his very important security checks. 🐾

For everyone's safety, medium and large bags must remain outside the changing rooms.
Our boutique is monitored by CCTV and a monitored alarm system.

These appointments exist because I know just how difficult finding the perfect dress can be.
I've put so much love into creating a space where curvy women can actually enjoy shopping, feel comfortable, and leave feeling incredible in what they've chosen.
Please treat the boutique, the garments and everyone in the space with kindness and respect so I can continue offering this service for years to come.

Please note our ex rentals are not available to try on during your appointment. They are packed away and not easily accessible.
